TRADE PROMOTION MEETING IN CANADIAN HIGH COMMISSION
Second Secretary (commercial) Mr. Martin Baratt and President of this chamber Mr. M. K. Shrestha and Mrs. L.D. Shrestha an executive member had a meeting regarding business promotion between Canada and Nepal at Canadian High Commission situated at New Delhi.
We highly appreciate the efforts of the Canadian Government to help Nepal by removing most of the custom duties required to export Nepalese items to Canada. The Government and Non-Government organization of Nepal believe that this type of elimination of customs duties will promote Nepalese business by reduction of price of Nepalese products. But, one year pf elimination of custom charge; Nepalese business is still lagging behind. Our chamber is researching the reason behind this lack of improvement and the solution is 'TRADE CONFERENCE' between the delegates of Nepal and Canada. The objective of this Trade Conference:
- To find the methods to export the Nepalese product to Canada
- To evaluation the market value of Nepalese product in Canada
- To have a meeting width businessmen who are interested in Nepalese Product
- To find out the possible problems that can be encountered
- To research on those product that can be imported to Nepal
The above mentioned factors were discussed with Mr. Barratt and his positive response towards out this trade conference is a giant step towards out goal that to improve commercial relations betweens Canada and Nepal. |
